The natural flow of Texas Holdem games usually goes like this. After the two blind bets have been posted, four very important and crucial betting rounds will follow. These include the pre-flop round, the flop round, the turn round, and the river round. And if a winner is yet to be determined after these different betting rounds, a showdown will take place afterwards. When the winner is determined, the pot will then be given to that victorious individual to reward his excellent use of strategies and poker style.
The pre-flop round is a very important part of the Texas Holdem poker game. It is the start before the four crucial betting rounds will ensue. It is therefore but right for card dealers to give careful attention and consideration on how the cards are to be dealt in this ever crucial round for the players. And because the dealer is the one responsible for maintaining the order or the game, much is expected from that position to deliver a very good performance.
After the small blinds and the big blinds have been posted, the pre-flop round follows immediately. In this betting round, the dealer must make sure that the player who is directly seated at the left side of the big blind player would start the bets. It is in the pre-flop betting round where all the players on the table would receive two cards each. These are the only cards that each individual would receive on their own. The remaining cards that are to be dealt are community cards that all the players could share in common.
In dealing the two hole cards in the pre-flop round, the one who should receive the first card would be the small blind player. And because the rotation is done in clockwise motion, the player who would receive the last card would be the one with the dealer button. This is a very important thing to remember for the dealer because the posting of the bets are done differently.
With regards to the posting of bets in the pre-flop round, the player who is at the immediate left of the big blind player would be mandated to put the first bet. The other players will then follow the clockwise ordering of placing bets. After the first bet of the round has been made, the ensuing players all have the options of calling the bet, folding their hands or raising the bets. These are some of the most important things that dealers should always remember when dealing in Texas Holdem games.
